Location was good, peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Fridge in the room was useful as well as the coffee machine although the coffee they provided wasn't really good and there were no filters for the machine (ever, even when we asked for them) neither the napkins. But was bearable.

AC machine way too loud. Kitchenette was useful, but poorly equipped. Tho they were changing the towels every day, they weren't very clean (some stains and other people's hair, yack!) and bed was full of bed bugs, have been waking up with new spots every day :( Luckily haven't seen any cockroaches! Bearable, but wouldn't not really recommend the place. First idea was to save some money as we stayed all together for 8 nights, but you anyway spent quite amount of money on holidays, specially New York, so rather give 20 dollars more per day, not even noticeable and get a better staying. Stuff also wasn't very helpful. Not unfriendly, just not very helpful. Depends what you expect from staying in New York, but I wouldn't recommend it definitely.

close to everthing and for the price

Overall, my stay at the hotel was not nice! However, the only point that was satisfactory was the location: 1) the hotel is one block from the subway station (79st); 2) the hotel is in a bit far from Midtown. It was pretty nice ...Broadway St and Amsterdam St is very busy and have many dining options. Adicionally, the hotel is very close to Central Park, especially the Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum.

1) On the second day, a rat appeared in the room! Yes, that's it! I know that NY is full of rats but inside the hotel room is unfitting (where is the pest control against rats and insects in the hotel?) 2) The elevator that gives access to the rooms were always broken; 3) The room service was resumed only in making a bed! The bathroom was never cleaned during the whole period. It is an absurd ...

Refrigerator and kitchen are available. Just two blocks from metro station.

A front staff was not welcoming at all.

We stayed at this hotel for 22 nights. Great location and good price. The bedroom had a kitchenette with microwave, a small fridge and a coffee maker. It also had cable TV and a safe. The bathroom was ok, not so small as some described, but we stayed in a queen bedroom. The guy who did our check-in and that we saw most of the times at the reception was super nice and helpful. The rest of the staff were not so nice, inclusively one of the night receptionists were very rude to us.

Some of the staff were not very nice to us. The building was kind of old.

The location was fine, 10min walk from central park, 35 min from times square if you walk all the way broadway down. Every day cleaning of bed and towels.

The staff members were not all very helpfull. The room, especialy the carpet was a bit dirty, the bathroom small (only toilet and shower).

Good location, wonderful area to have an extended stay. Enjoyed the parks and subway close by. Room was dated but clean and maintained well while we were there. We felt that with the price deal from Booked.net it was worth the price we paid.

The water pipes were loud at night due to the age of the hotel and the location of our room (next to the shared bathroom).

The hotel is really close to the subway station in a very good position. The bathroom was quite small but clean. The staff of the hotel is helpful and friendly.

Aircondition not sufficient for room size.

Excellent area to live, very close to subway. I stayed for 8 days and had a good time, most important is that it's value for money. Its an old building but clean. The staff is very unfriendly, don’t expect a smile or them saying hello to you. They will follow your instructions but they are the last people you want to talk to have any general conversation. I was using shared bathroom, and the there was no water in washbasin despite of reporting and reminding it was never fixed.

The location of the hotel was good, only a few minutes walk to the 79th St Metro station, and there are also shops and restaurants nearby. The wifi worked brilliantly in my room.

The noise was a problem, firstly the plumbing, when someone from another rooms uses the shower or flushes the toilet there is a huge thunderous noise coming from my bathroom, its like they are in my bathroom. Also I could hear everything outside, the talking when someone walks past, or when they open the door. On one occassion I had to turn my TV volume up very high to drown out the two women who decided to have a 15minute conversation outside my door.

Room was small but nice although furniture and paint on the walls are very old, very clean, excellent cable tv, good and safe location 5 min walk to the west side of central park, subway one block away..

Room was dark and staff was not very helpfull, guy on the information desk did not know to tell me how to get on the east side of the central park, take note that on the check in you will be asked for 200 dollars deposit...

The single room with shared bathroom was tiny and not as advertised. i had to upgrade the room at significant cost.

Really good location and grrat value for money

The staff was super nasty, but we didnt care, as we never spoke to them. Dont ask them for help or recommendations on shows or restaurants, they dont feel they owe that to their customers...plus they dont have a clue... Keep your expectations low
